Software Engineer Full-Stack Developer & Designer

This is the studio behind the portfolio. Walk through it: who I am, the systems I designed, what I write about, and how to reach me.

Who I am

I'm Angelo, currently I live in Italy working as a software engineer and full-stack developer. My projects include web development, mobile applications, and UI/UX design. Being comfortable with both frontend and backend technologies allows me to rapidly prototype and validate complete solutions.

In my spare time I like to explore new technologies, work on personal projects, and contribute to open source. I'm always excited about new challenges and opportunities to create innovative digital experiences.

Capabilities

  • Architecture & SystemsStructures that stay solid as a product grows.
  • EngineeringFull-stack delivery, from the interface to the server.
  • Cloud & DataWhere applications run and what they remember.
  • Product & ExperienceInterfaces designed around the people who use them.

Systems I designed and directed

Four projects: an AI engine, the trade platform built on it, the public platforms of a customs operator, and an architect's website — each designed, built or technically directed by me.

  1. PROJECT // 01

    ParceLabs AI Engine

    AI platform · Cross-border logistics

One platform for cross-border logistics: customs classification in production, and four more engines on the same contract — behind one API and over MCP.

    Role
    Design, architecture & engineering
    • Classification
    • TARIC pipeline
    • REST + MCP
    • Catalogue AI
    Explore system

    Capabilities

    • HS / TARIC classification with evidence: ranked codes, a confidence score and the notes behind them.
    • Monthly EU TARIC releases ingested in stages and switched over with no downtime.
    • Every engine is exposed over REST and as MCP tools for AI agents.
    • Catalogue analysis: a spreadsheet, PDF or photo in; HS codes, origin and duties out.

    Engineering

    • Hybrid lexical + semantic retrieval over the official multilingual TARIC — no third-party classifier.
    • Quality work gated by a labelled dataset and automatic top-1 / top-5 scoring.
    • Degraded stages reported in every response; confidence lowered when a stage degrades.
    • Engines mount themselves with their REST routes and MCP server.

    Ecosystem

EasyParcel's customs classification and its Drop catalogue analysis run on it; identity comes from ParceLabs Auth.

    EasyParcel

    International trade platform

An AI platform for international trade: shipping, customs classification, duties, compliance and customer care in one operating environment.

    Role
    Co-Founder & CTO · Technical direction & lead engineering
    • Customs
    • Shipping
    • Trade AI
    • Integrations
    Explore system

    Capabilities

    • EasyDogana: HS / TARIC classification with duties and an audit trail.
    • EasyShip: carriers ranked per lane on cost and lead time, packaging and volumetric weight.
    • Drop: upload a catalogue — spreadsheet, PDF or photo — and get HS codes, duties and origin back.
    • REST API, white-label and embedded services for partners.

    Engineering

    • A React site with a hardened Node backend-for-frontend, a server-rendered PHP platform, and the AI engine behind both.
    • Federated sign-on shared by site and platform, with scope-based permissions.
    • Legacy screens wrapped into the new platform without touching their code, migration tracked per route.
    • Static analysis at PHPStan level 8, automated tests, tag-driven releases, IT / EN parity checks.

    Ecosystem

Its customs intelligence and Drop run on the ParceLabs AI Engine; one sign-on, ParceLabs Auth, spans site and platform.

    DVA Express

    Logistics & customs

The public platforms of DVA Express, an Italian logistics and customs operator: dva.global, explaining its B2C customs fulfilment to non-EU sellers in ten languages, and the corporate site with an online duty & tax tool.

    Role
Technical direction · Performance & platform integration
    • Fulfilment
    • Duty & tax
    • Newsroom
    • 10 languages
    Explore system

    Capabilities

    • B2C customs fulfilment for non-EU sellers through an Italian customs warehouse.
    • An online duty & tax tool: HS classification and landed cost, as a standalone app.
    • Blog and newsroom on a headless CMS, in Italian and English.
    • dva.global in ten languages; dvaexpress.com in Italian and English.

    Engineering

    • Localized routing: an IT ↔ EN slug map that works both ways, per-language slugs on dva.global.
    • Every page loaded on demand; vendor code split by concern.
    • A headless CMS (Strapi), with the WordPress archive migrated in as linked IT / EN translations.
    • Live counters fed by the ParceLabs platform, parsed defensively.

    Ecosystem

Live shipment and customer counters fed by the ParceLabs platform.

    Arch. Gasparini

    Architecture · Editorial website

A bilingual portfolio for an architecture studio in Lombardy, drawn like a technical drawing set — sheet numbers, title blocks, register marks — with room for the work that can't be shown.

    Role
    Concept, design & UI engineering
    Live
    archgasparini.it (launching)
    • Drawing-set grammar
    • NDA-aware catalogue
    • Pinned gallery
    • Italian first
    Explore system

    Capabilities

    • Sheet numbers, title blocks and register marks turn an architect's working drawings into the interface.
    • Confidential projects stay in the catalogue as marked capsules instead of disappearing.
    • A scroll-driven horizontal gallery that measures itself on resize and respects reduced motion.
    • Localized URLs, generated hreflang, and both languages in every CMS document.

    Engineering

    • An editorial type system — a variable display serif, a grotesk and a monospace for metadata — with hierarchy from weight, size and opacity, never colour.
    • A headless CMS with an embedded studio; localized fields inside each document.
    • Motion on a single easing curve, with static fallbacks under reduced motion.
    • A qualified-lead form on server actions, with a honeypot, size limits, allow-lists and rate limiting.

    Ecosystem

Content in a headless CMS (Sanity), with both languages inside every document.

    Next.js · React · TypeScript · Tailwind CSS · Framer Motion · Sanity · next-intl
