Customs fulfilment, explained in ten languages
DVA Express is an Italian logistics and customs operator. Its public platforms explain a complex service to sellers around the world and put customs tools in their hands.
Visit live site ↗Why it exists
Non-EU sellers want to reach European buyers without becoming customs experts. DVA's B2C fulfilment keeps their goods in an Italian customs warehouse and settles duties and VAT only when an item sells. The sites have to make that model clear — to sellers in Asia and beyond, in their own language.
What I did
I set the technical direction and did the platform work: route-level code splitting and vendor chunking, the SEO layer, the CMS upgrades and configuration, and the live counters fed by the ParceLabs platform. Pages, forms, the ten-language routing and the archive migration were built by the ParceLabs development team.
Ten languages, translated addresses
dva.global speaks Italian, English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Chinese and Japanese, and its pages live at translated addresses wherever a translation exists — /uber-uns, not /about?lang=de. On dvaexpress.com an Italian ↔ English slug map works both ways, so switching language keeps you on the same page.

How it works
Two static React apps. Content comes from a headless CMS, live figures from the ParceLabs platform, and the duty & tax tool calls its own classification and landed-cost service.

Fast on the first visit
Every page is loaded on demand, and vendor code is split by concern — rendering, animation, i18n, forms, UI, icons — so a first visit downloads only what that page needs.
Live figures from the platform
The homepage counters come from the ParceLabs platform: fetched fresh, parsed defensively across old and new response shapes, and counted up only when they scroll into view.
An archive, migrated
The newsroom moved from WordPress into Strapi: HTML cleaned into structured blocks, and Italian and English articles linked as translations of each other — through a generate → review → dry-run → apply workflow.
A customs tool, not a brochure
The duty & tax app stands apart from the site: a classification step — description, origin, material, an image — and a landed-cost step, with results kept on the device.
